It’s been a while since we saw Gordon The Gopher hanging out in the Broom Cupboard with Phillip Schofield – but rest easy folks, because the furry puppet is back.
Yes, Gordon – a veritable stalwart of Children’s BBC in the late 80s and early 90s – is indeed alive, and attempting to claw his way back in to the Beeb in this video from the BBC Taster site.
The four-minute clip sees Gordon – now given a voice courtesy of actor Warwick Davis – going for a job interview at the corporation, and using it as an opportunity to pitch his new show idea.
Except it turns out the interview is for a cleaning job – on account of his Broom Cupboard experience.
Poor Gordon.
