BBC Proms presenter Katie Derham is set to get a little more sparkly as she has been revealed as the fifth contestant to join this year’s Strictly Come Dancing.
Writing on their Twitter page, Strictly announced the news before Katie tweeted: ‘Well hello you lovely #strictly fans ! I’ve got the lights & dance floor, now all I need are some moves ..’
The 45-year-old presenter and BBC Radio 3 DJ quickly gained support from her dance rival Jeremy Vine who was the first to be announced. Jeremy replied to Katie’s tweet revealing he was ‘so glad’ she was the fifth contestant.
