Environmentalist George Monbiot addressed the truth about meat production by skinning, butchering and cooking a squirrel on live TV.
If you fancy tucking into a bit of that squirrel you just ran over but you’re not quite sure how, George Monbiot is here to show you.
The piece on Newnight was inspired by an article he’d written after he found a squirrel ‘dead but still warm’ by the roadside and took it home to eat, as a comment on our ‘increasingly confused realities with meat production.’
James O’Brien admits, however, the unlucky squirrels seen being chopped up for dinner have been sourced from a farm shop.
