
Eggheads star CJ de Mooi has claimed his offer to join this year’s Strictly Come Dancing line-up was turned down because producers refused to allow same-sex dance couples.
‘I can’t believe they picked Jeremy [Vine] over me. I’m quite upset,’ he told The Mirror, before adding: ‘It’s because I wanted to dance in a same-sex couple.’
CJ also claimed that former professional dancer Robin Windsor was dropped from the line-up because he was also ‘pushing for same-sex couples’, adding: ‘Suddenly he’s not in it.’
