TV presenter Anne Robinson has announced that she is quitting BBC One show Watchdog after 15 years.
The 70-year-old will step down in order to front a major new factual series for the Beeb, which is due to begin filming this autumn.
The new show will follow the recent success of Britain’s Spending Secrets – which pulled in around 5.7m viewers when it aired over the summer.
Anne said of her departure: ‘It’s been an honour to be part of the most important consumer show in Britain.’
