Video footage recently emerged that allegedly shows Paul Nicholls smoking crack. The actor became famous in his early twenties as heartthrob Joe Wicks on BBC soap, EastEnders.
The troubled son of David Wicks, never the most reliable father figure, Joe arrived from Bolton following the death of his sister. Blaming himself, Joe developed schizophrenia, a storyline which was widely praised by mental health charities.
Joe is rarely mentioned onscreen although it was revealed that David had lost touch with him.
With the current vogue at EastEnders for bringing back old characters, I think it’s time we brought back Joe, and here are 5 reasons why:
