The second series of BBC drama Poldark will run for 10 episodes – two more than the first one.
Fans will be seeing a lot more of Aidan Turner and Eleanor Tomlinson on their screens when it airs next year.
Polly Hill, controller BBC drama commissioning, revealed that screenwriter Debbie Horsfield – adapting the acclaimed novels by Winston Graham – needed the extra episodes to fit all the action in.
She said: ‘Debbie has done a magnificent job once again, bringing the next two books to screen – so much happens she needed a further two episodes’.
