After seven seasons, Mad Men finally came to an end for American audiences on Sunday night.

The AMC show began in the 1960s and followed the lives, loves and ad campaigns of Don Draper and his co-workers at the fictional Sterling Cooper agency on Madison Avenue in New York.

Created by Matthew Weiner, the series became a global hit and made household names of its stars Jon Hamm, Christina Hendricks and Elisabeth Moss.

So of course Twitter came alive with comments following the seventh season finale, and they had a lot to say about that ending.

A lot of people were happy at the show’s climax
