Plans to film the judges’ houses stage of this year’s X Factor live have reportedly been scrapped.
Each year the four X Factor judges are flown to exotic locations around the world to pick their acts to take through to the live shows.
Judges’ houses this year was to be filmed live on the night with hosts Olly Murs and Caroline Flack holding the fort in London.
But show bosses are said to have now quashed that idea because it would be too costly to broadcast live from four different locations.
Instead that round will be pre-recorded, and acts will discover their fate during a live show filmed in London on the same night judges’ houses airs.
