It’s all change for ITV’s flagship soaps as both Emmerdale and Coronation Street are to get brand new bosses.
Kate Oates leaves Emmerdale to take over Coronation Street after giving the village soap a massive resurgence. With it arguably having never been more popular than it is now, she leaves Emmerdale in good shape for Hollyoaks story producer Iain MacLeod to take over early next year.
Stuart Blackburn, who is overseeing the live episode of Coronation Street and previously led Emmerdale, will move on to other drama projects with ITV.
