Fox News’ Shepard Smith just got his artists and actors confused live on air.
One a leading artist and intellectual of the Italian Renaissance period, another still awaiting that elusive Oscar, Smith made the slip up of mixing up his Leonardos when introducing a segment about the Mona Lisa.
Smith was introducing the piece which talked about scientists’ breakthrough in being a step closer to identifying the mystery woman in the masterpiece when he made the faux pas.
He said: ‘An update from scientists trying to identify the model for Leonardo DiCaprio’s Mona Lisa. After digging up some woman’s remains and putting it through DNA testing it seems they are no closer to knowing the smile men [inaudible]. Stay tuned.’
