When Coronation Street’s Lloyd Mullaney (Craig Charles) waved goodbye to Weatherfield with his pregnant girlfriend Andrea (Hayley Tamaddon) during Wednesday’s live episode, it felt all kinds of wrong.
Not because he was leaving, although the cab driver will be missed, but because his best friend Steve McDonald (Simon Gregson) was nowhere to be seen.
However viewers who were keen to see the double act bid each other farewell got their wish on Friday, as Lloyd was back for one last hurrah with Steve.
The pair had a long chat about their bromance and Lloyd told Steve he was a better man for knowing him.
