The BBC are planning to ban their Strictly Come Dancing dancers from posing for provocative calendar shoots in an attempt to hammer home the show’s family message.
Dancers including Ola Jordan and Kristina Rihanoff will be affected by the ban which comes after Beeb bosses decided the sexy shots are harming the Saturday night show’s image.
‘Strictly is the BBC’s flagship family show but bosses feel activities outside the programme are distracting away from the essence of it,’ a source told the Sunday People.
The source added: ‘It’s all started to get a bit tacky with near-naked photoshoots and books spilling the intimate details of relationships. So a clean-up is under way and from next year bosses will be clamping down on extra projects undertaken by the professionals.’
