Next up in the BBC’s early 20th-century adaptation season is Cider With Rosie, the gorgeous coming-of-age story set in the West Country.
Based on Laurie Lee’s 1959 semi-autobiographical tale, the 90-minute dramatisation doesn’t follow Lee’s thematic chapters but the sprawling ideas of love, loss and the upheavals that faced communities as The Great War came to an end.
