Maisie Williams has sounded off on the lack of interesting roles for women on TV.
In an interview with Radio Times, the Game Of Thrones star said it wasn’t until she was much older than she realised female roles on TV were ‘written so badly’.
‘It’s not common to come across females who aren’t just “the girlfriend”‘ she told the magazine.
She added that it was something her Doctor Who co-star Jenna Coleman had also picked up on from reading character descriptions in scripts.
