
Captured by Vikings and whisked away from the TARDIS, the Doctor and Clara have one day to help a village overcome warrior race, the Mire, after war is declared on them by Ashildr, a mysterious girl whom the Doctor seems to recognise.
Thanks to some electric eels, Ashildr’s imagination and the Doctor’s ingenuity, the villagers win the day and force the Mire into a humiliating retreat, but at the cost of Ashildr’s life. Enraged, the Doctor converts a Mire medkit to bring Ashildr back to life and rendering her immortal.
