Jenna Coleman sensationally quit Doctor Who so she could play Queen Victoria in a new ITV drama.
Now the first picture of the actress, who shot to fame as the Time Lord’s assistant Clara Oswald, as the royal has been released.
It shows Coleman looking solemn while posing in a garden – the weight of her duties obviously weighing on her shoulders.
The eight-part drama, co-starring Rufus Sewell, will follow the young Queen’s accession to the throne at just 18 through to her marriage to Prince Albert.
