Today is the day Hollyoaks turns 20.
For a soap they thought wouldn’t last a year, it’s done pretty well and October 23 marks two whole decades of the Chester-based TV show.
Another soap that knows what it’s like to beat the odds is Neighbours, the Aussie soap that’s been knocking around for a decade longer than Hollyoaks. So they know how important a birthday is, and they wanted a part in wishing Hollyoaks a happy one.
Karl Kennedy, who incidentally has starred in the daytime TV show for 20 years, had a few words for the Northern telly programme.
