EastEnders star Lin Blakey – aka Pam Coker – has revealed that she did not see co-star Roger Sloman dressed as Les Coker’s alter-ego Christine until filming on the storyline actually began.
Friday night’s EastEnders saw the undertaker reveal his alter ego to his wife, with viewers praising the soap’s sensitive handling of the subject matter.
However Lin told the Daily Star it was as much of a surprise to her as it was to her character.
‘I didn’t want to see Roger until we filmed the moment Pam saw Les,’ the actress explained.
‘I wanted it like that because it made my reaction more real. I actually avoided seeing him.
