This week we got the surprising news that the BBC had decided to axe Never Mind The Buzzcocks.
The music panel show had been going for nearly 20 years and 28 series.
It was fronted by Mark Lamarr when it first aired in 1996. He held the job for 17 years until Simon Amstell took over for four series, followed by Rhod Gilbert for series 28.
A spokeswoman confirmed the news explaining the decision was made in order to ‘create space for new entertainment formats in the future.’
