Alex Carter has taken a dig at The Bill after admitting he’d rather the public compare his new police drama to ER or Casualty.
The Emmerdale actor, who plays PC Lino Moretti in the new show, Cuffs, admitted on Lorraine this morning that he doesn’t want any comparison drawn between the Bill and Cuffs.
Even though the Bill was one of ITV’s most renowned series, running from 1984-2010.
During the interview, he was asked by Gaby Login if Cuffs was a modern day Bill.
To which he sarcastically said: ‘Yeah, it’s exactly the same show as The Bill!’
