ITV’s new series Jekyll And Hyde is now under investigation by Ofcom after the show received over 800 complaints from viewers.
The graphic and gory one-hour drama aired on Sunday at 6.30pm and the broadcast watchdog has now revealed that they have ‘carefully assessed a number of complaints about Jekyll and Hyde on ITV’.
‘We are opening an investigation into whether the programme complied with our rules on appropriate scheduling and violent content before the watershed.’
Ofcom received 469 complaints while the channel received around 380.
