A new series of Star Trek is heading to TV screens.
CBS Television Studios are planning to air the reboot in January 2017, it has been announced.
According to a statement on the official Star Trek website, the new series will come after the show’s 50th anniversary in 2016 and ‘will introduce new characters seeking imaginative new worlds and new civilizations’.
