BBC Three’s Sex On Trial, presented by Will Best, aimed to show the lack of knowledge surrounding consent amongst teenagers.
24 16-18-year-olds were shown a sequence of events involving a girl called Gemma and her friend Tom at a party, which later resulted in them having sexual contact Gemma didn’t consent to.
The teens then had to debate – was it rape? Are there degrees of rape?
