Britain’s Got Talent may have been busy handing out golden buzzers to dance troupes and choirs, but in the US version of the show it’s a very different story.
Or at least it was when this chap, comedian Drew Lynch, took to the stage earlier this week.
The 23-year-old explained on the show that he has had a stutter ever since suffering a throat injury during a softball game four years ago.
But he has refused to let his disability hold him back, instead attempting to see the positive in his situation by embarking on a comedy career.
‘I started to do comedy as a way of coping with it,’ Drew said of his injury. ‘The person I was before would probably never hang out with who I am today.’
