Bad news, Doctor Who fans.
The BBC sci-fi drama will return with half the usual episodes next year because Peter Capaldi is taking time off to pursue other projects.
According to The Daily Mirror, the 57-year-old actor will be granted leave to turn his attention to directing.
He is making a film loosely based on his time in Glasgow punk band The Dreamboys and will also direct two episodes of US hit series Veep.
Capaldi previously said at the Radio Times Festival that the Doctor Who crew would struggle to make two series a year.
