It’s finally here.
The annual John Lewis Christmas TV advert has landed.
And as usual, it’s reduced many of us to tears.
But while the tale of Lily and The Man On The Moon may be tugging at heart strings, the retailer’s choice of song seems to be having the opposite effect.
This year’s ad is set to a cover of Oasis’ Half The World Away by Norwegian singer Aurora.
The classic track, which was also the theme tune to BBC sitcom The Royle Family, has been stripped back in a similar style to previous songs featured in the yearly campaigns.
