Actor Warren Mitchell, best known for his role as the outspoken Alf Garnett in 60s sitcom Till Death Do Us Part, has died aged 89.
News of his passing was broken by the actor’s great nephew Jerry Barnett, who announced his death on Twitter.
‘Just got the news my great uncle Warren Mitchell (aka Alf Garnett) died last night,’ he tweeted.
‘The last of his generation, wonderful and funny man RIP.’
