The BBC have revealed that this year’s Doctor Who series finale will see Peter Capaldi’s Doctor return to his home planet, Gallifrey.
The official synopsis for the instalment, titled Hell Bent and written by Doctor Who boss Steven Moffat, states:
‘If you took everything from him, betrayed him, trapped him, and broke both his hearts…how far might the Doctor go?’
