It was the last time we got to see ninja hopefuls face plant a tank of freezing cold water.
The final two stages of the obstacle course competition were brutal, with the spider jump, the giant wheel, the salmon ladder and the unstable bridge just a few of the tricks throwing contestants off their game.
Many a trier didn’t finish the course. It was tense. It was emotionally draining. It originally started off with 250 contestants, but by the final they had been whittled down to 14 for stage one and just four for stage two, with the hope that one would make it all the way.
That was the hope, anyway.
