Looks like fans of both X Factor and Strictly Come Dancing will have to make a hard choice next Saturday night.
Either they’ll have to miss the first 30 minutes of The X Factor final or miss the last 30 minutes of Strictly’s semi-final.
That is, according to The Sun, because the BBC ‘refused ITV’s request’ to change their schedule that would avoid the shows clashing.
The X Factor final – which will see either Che Chesterman, Louisa Johnson, Reggie & Bollie or Lauren Murray crowned winner – will be broadcast live from 8pm next Saturday, with Strictly’s semi final airing until 8.30pm.
ITV chief Peter Fincham is said to have revealed the singing competition’s start times earlier this summer to avoid any overlap.
‘We took the unusual step of publishing the start times to avoid overlaps with Strictly wherever possible, so it’s obviously disappointing,’ an ITV insider told The Sun.
