On Tuesday 15 December, Tim Peake will be embarking on his six-month mission into space, the first UK astronaut to do so.
And documenting his journey to the International Space Station will be Professor Brian Cox, along with Dara O Briain, on the BBC, live from the London’s Science Museum.
‘I think it’s tremendously exciting, the country hasn’t had something of this scale to watch together for a long, long time,’ Brian tells Metro.co.uk.
‘But I’d be surprised if it was the global audience of the moon landing though!’
