New figures have been revealed by the BBC which show EastEnders and Holby City attract the largest number of calls to its Action Line service.
Viewers are invited to contact the service at the end of episodes that highlight issues which may affect them, such as domestic violence or mental illness.
Following the EastEnders Christmas Day episode last year which saw Linda Carter – played by Kellie Bright – admit she had been raped, 141 people called the advice line and 7,288 visited the website.
