The author has revealed that he’s taking his sweet time with the sixth book in the series, The Winds of Winter, because he got a little ‘distracted’.
Talking at the Santa Fe Independent Film Festival, Indiewire quoted him as saying: ‘Writer’s block isn’t to blame here, it’s distraction.
‘In recent years, all of the work I’ve been doing creates problems because it creates distraction.’
