1. War and Peace
The master of the period drama, Andrew Davies (Vanity Fair, Pride and Prejudice) has taken on his most ambitious project to date – condensing Leo Tolstoy’s epic War and Peace into a Sunday night six-parter.
Boasting lush cinematography, lavish set design and top-notch performances from Paul Dano, James Norton and Lily James, early reviews indicate that Davies has more than risen to the challenge.
