10 new TV shows to look forward to in 2016

2015 brought us Doctor Foster, Catastrophe, London Spy, Humans, No Offence, Peter Kay’s Car Share and Wolf Hall just to name a few.

2016, therefore, has a lot to live up to when it comes to brand new shows on the box.

But here’s a look at ten scheduled to debut over the next few months which suggest the apparent golden age of television is only set to continue.

1. War and Peace

The master of the period drama, Andrew Davies (Vanity Fair, Pride and Prejudice) has taken on his most ambitious project to date – condensing Leo Tolstoy’s epic War and Peace into a Sunday night six-parter.

Boasting lush cinematography, lavish set design and top-notch performances from Paul Dano, James Norton and Lily James, early reviews indicate that Davies has more than risen to the challenge.
