Poppy Lodge is the care home which offers a unique approach to handling one of the cruellest diseases out there – dementia.
In order to help their patients, the hard working staff of the home don’t do anything to try and correct the confusion of the patients but instead they embrace and encourage what the sufferers are believing.
Channel 4 aired a documentary, Dementiaville, which took a look at the day to day running of Poppy Lodge and to say that viewers were left moved by what they saw would be an understatement.
