Lena Dunham’s semi-autobiographical comedy Girls will end after its sixth series, according to reports.

Dunham previously hinted the show would end after six series because she liked the ‘in-and-out’ tactic of the ‘British model’ of comedy shows – though it is very rare for a British sitcom to last for more than three series.
