The row over Winston McKenzie’s homophobic remarks on Celebrity Big Brother’s launch show has now reached media watchdog Ofcom, which has been bombarded with complaints.
The organisation confirmed to metro.co.uk that so far 165 viewers have complained about the former UKIP politician’s comments on Tuesday night’s show, when he explained how he would act around any homosexual housemates.
‘We’ve received 165 complaints about Celebrity Big Brother on Channel 5,’ a spokesperson said, adding that they were related to what McKenzie had said.
