The Voice UK returns to the BBC on Saturday but for viewers who grew up in the Seventies and Eighties there may be one familiar face – Bernie Clifton.
The Crackerjack star, best known for riding around on a yellow ostrich, will be hoping one of the four judges turn their chairs for him because he wants us to ‘know there’s more to me than the ostrich’.
The 80-year-old revealed in a new interview that singing began to take a backseat ‘as the comedy took hold’ and ‘when the ostrich came along, it was just another prop’.
