After 27 seasons, you have to give The Simpsons writers props for continuing to create brilliant opening couch gags – and this latest is no exception.
Set to Scarface (Push it to the Limit) by Paul Engemanm, the 90-second clip sees Homer Simpson become a broad action hero with a six pack called Joe ‘Kaz’ Kazinsky, a lone hero who uses his LA-Z Rider to battle Ned Flanders’ cigar-smoking villain, Fernando Whitmore, and his cronies.
It’s a homage to the decade of classic 80s action movies, with giant sunglasses, giant mobile phones, the city of Miami and speedboats.
