TV writer Robert Stewart Banks, who penned two classic 70s Doctor Who episodes as well as creating TV series Bergerac, has died aged 84.
Banks’ son Andy Stewart confirmed that the Scottish-born writer had been suffering from cancer.
Stewart, who was born in 1931, originally worked as a journalist in his native Edinburgh before turning his attentions to TV writing.
