Monica and Chandler’s wedding was one of Friends’ most emotional moments and it seemed that they were always destined to end up together.
But Friends co-creator Marta Kaufman has revealed that the couple’s romance was only initially intended to be a fling.
Talking about their famous hook up in London, she said at the ATX Television Festival: ‘We had no idea what response that was going get.
‘We had to stop [taping] the show because people were screaming.’
Kauffman explained that they decided to keep the story in because fans loved the relationship so much.
