The Simpsons creator Matt Groening is reportedly working on a brand new animated comedy which looks set to be heading for streaming service Netflix.
Groening, who has overseen more than 500 episodes in the longest running animated show on TV, has penned a mystery new series which The Hollywood Reporter claims could have a two season run of twenty episodes picked up by an interested Netflix.
Metro.co.uk have contacted a representative for Netflix for comment.
Groening is also known for creating the series Futurama which maintains a strong fanbase after ending, despite never reaching the same dizzying heights of success that The Simpsons has achieved.
