This year’s National Television Awards ceremony will be held tomorrow and television’s longest-running science-fiction show, starring Peter Capaldi and Jenna Coleman, is up for Best Drama.
Doctor Who is competing against another BBC Saturday night staple, Casualty (also produced by BBC Wales), along with two big-hitters from ITV, Broadchurch and Downton Abbey.
Sadly, this is the only category Doctor Who has been placed in (boo!), but here’s why the children’s show that adults love to watch should win.
