Ofcom have ruled that a joke made by Jimmy Carr on BBC One’s The One Show in November was in ‘breach’ of the broadcasting code of conduct.
During an episode on 4 November, the comedian was asked by host Matt Baker which joke, that audiences find the funniest, has surprised him, and he made a borderline offensive joke about Welsh people.
He then said: ‘I tried to write the shortest joke possible, so I wrote a two-word joke, which was, “Dwarf shortage”.’
