Mrs Brown’s Boys star Brendan O’Carroll has donated £24,000 to a grieving family after hearing the tragic story of its mum Sarah Paino.
The comedian was on tour in Australia when he heard the story of the 24-year-old mother who died after being hit by ‘teenage joyriders’, prompting her unborn baby to be delivered 32 weeks prematurely.
Remarkably the baby, named Caleb, is now healthy. Sarah’s two-year-old son Jordan also survived the crash in Hobart, Tazmania last Friday with minor injuries.
Brendan, 60, heard about the story whilst appearing on Australian news show The Project and decided to give Sarah’s partner Daniel a family donation.
