Those poised to ring the death knell for BBC Three ahead of its upcoming online switchover – hold your horses.

The channel has a whole host of fresh content lines up, including a brand new six-part drama called Clique from the writer of E4’s Skins.

Clique is penned by Skins’ Jess Brittain, Kirstie Swain and Milly Thomas, and tells the story of Edinburgh University students Georgia and Holly, who become involved in a clique of elite alpha girls led by a lecturer called Jude Monroe.

The story sounds intriguing and appears to play on the same themes as star-making teen saga Skins did.
