How can you apply to be a contestant on The Chase?

Have you ever found yourself shouting at the TV in frustration on The Chase as yet another contestant gets an answer wrong?

Ever thought you could do way better when it comes to taking on The Beast, The Governess and all the other Chasers?

Well if you do want to show off your general knowledge skills, impress Bradley Walsh and appear to the nation on teatime TV, then the good news is that you can apply for the chance o be a contestant on The Chase, and show the world exactly what you can do.

But just how do you do it? Here’s what you need to know…

How can you apply to be on The Chase?

The good news is that the show is currently looking for contestants to take part in its 13th series, having completed the casting for series 12.

There is no closing date for applications and you can find the application form here.

What are the rules for applying?

There is no deadline for applying, but contestants have to be aged over 18 and a legal resident of – and currently living in – the UK, Isle of Man or Channel Islands.

You also have to be able to attend Elstree Studios for filming.

And – here’s the very important bit – you’re not allowed to have previously been employed by The Chase or worked for ITV in the past 10 years, or be a partner or relative of someone who has.
