The recent good news for EastEnders fans was undoubtedly that June Brown had signed on the dotted line to keep the legendary Dot Branning in Walford up until March 2017.
However, the 88-year-old stalwart has hinted that it could well be her last contract with the show, admitting that she doesn’t want to remain in the soap forever.
Speaking to The Sun, she explained: ‘I don’t think I want to end my life on a soap, but we’ll see. I don’t want to be 100, or even 90. I don’t think I look nearly 90, but because I can’t see these days I don’t know.’
