The first episode of the new thriller starring Hugh Laurie and Tom Hiddleston, The Night Manager, began on BBC One this evening.
Based on the novel of the same name by John le Carré (the man behind espionage dramas such as Tinker Tailer Soldier Spy and The Spy Who Came in from the Cold), we were introduced to the dubious world of arms dealer Richard Roper (Laurie) in the opening instalment.
